About this Course

Ever see a bird and wonder “what kind of bird is that?” Do you ever think to yourself “I should get into birding” Well now is your chance! This 1.5 hour long session is going to focus on shorebirds with a fantastic vantage point from the new boardwalk, as well as some binocular basics and identification features for the shorebirds we meet. Meeting at the Tennis Court Picnic tables behind the Rec Centre, we will make our way to the boardwalk and setup a spotting scope to get up close and personal with shorebirds and other migratory species that are using the mudflats. We will be going rain or shine so please dress appropriately! Please bring your own binoculars if you have them, there will also be a handout of birds around the inlet for your reference! For noise and space considerations, this is a no pets and no strollers event. Sorry for any inconvenience.
