This two- to three-hour interactive workshop invites participants to step onto blankets representing the land and into the roles of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Guided by trained facilitators, including Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers, the exercise follows a script covering pre-contact history, treaty-making, colonization, resistance, and more. Participants read scrolls and respond to cues throughout the session. The exercise concludes with a talking circle for debriefing, reflection, and discussion.
